Gives solid examples of how to achieve some classic sounds, the exercises are good too. Power Tools For Synthesizer Programming - Haven't dug into it too much, but its fairly lightweight, easy to go through. Reads like the manual pretty much with some extra fluff thrown in. Guitar Rig 2 Power - Kinda lame, though haven't dug into the rig building sections. Excellent chapters on using sampler and making sounds with operator. Referencing this one all the time, and it has taught me a lot more than just how to 'use' live. ![]() Basically I want to write software used to make music, but a solid understanding of the gear I'm modelling and how to use it is obviously essential. ![]() My goal is not to produce, though I like to.
